30 seconds with Redcoat Zoe
Earlier this month I had the chance to catch up with some of Butlins’ newest Redcoat recruits at their annual graduation ceremony. It was a brilliant few days jammed-packed full of training and exciting activities to prepare them for our first family breaks. I managed to squeeze in a few minutes to chat to a few of our team so without further ado – let’s meet one of them, Redcoat Zoe!
So Zoe, which part of the UK are you from and which resort will you be working at?
I’m originally from Scarborough in North Yorkshire, and I’m now based at Butlins Skegness.
And what unique skills are you bringing to Butlins?
I love dancing and singing, so I hope that I’ll get to do lots of that, and I’ve worked in kids clubs previously so I think working with kids and people skills are one of my strengths.
Throughout your Butlins training, did you learn anything interesting that you didn’t know before?
I was really interested in the culture of Butlins, our way of working and also our very rich history and heritage!
What made you want to be a Redcoat?
I’ve always loved being an entertainer – I also worked at a resort in Egypt so it felt like the perfect job for me.
Can you tell us a little secret about yourself?
Well, whilst I was dancing abroad once, I spun around and my whole skirt came off during the performance! How embarrassing!!
And finally, what makes the perfect day out at the seaside?
Lots of ice cream and lots of sunshine!!
Thanks Zoe! Click here to meet Redcoat Nathan from Bognor Regis! Don’t forget you can see all of our new team members by heading to our Facebook page where we’ve put all the Redcoats into handy albums for you!
