From seeing the plans to the first foundations being dug, through all the challenges of a huge building project to the stunning new chalets that are now open to our guests, it’s been a huge piece of work. Definitely a labour of love though, and all of us in the team at Minehead are massively proud of West Lakes Village, and extremely excited to be sharing it with you all.
The chalets at West Lakes are the perfect example of how Butlin’s honours the past, whilst evolving the future. Every one of the 117 chalets has the benefit of an outside space, overlooking grass areas or lakes and fountains.
Guests will notice the fantastic attention to detail which is reflected throughout the chalets – for instance, the ‘Butlin’s B’ has found its way into the soft furnishings, be it on the curtains or the bed throw.
The furniture is modern and light, yet cosy and warm – the perfect environment for a family to enjoy valuable time together, playing games, or simply snuggled up watching the telly.
The beds have super comfy mattresses and Egyptian cotton bedding, ideal for you to sink into after a busy day enjoying all the entertainment that Butlin’s is famous for.
We have picked the best of the best for our new Village manager too – Jola is committed to delivering the highest standards for every guest staying in our brand new chalets, and cannot wait to welcome everyone to the chalets, starting at Easter and beyond.
I just cannot begin to express how excited the team here in Minehead are about West Lakes – they know our guests will love it and they in turn will love looking after it for them.
I think Billy Butlin would have been proud…
