Bognor Regis needs your vote!

Our locations are one of many things that makes Butlin’s what it is today. Bognor Regis, a coastal town located on the South coast of England is home to one of our three famous Butlin’s resorts and has been shortlisted for the annual Great British high street awards in the coastal community category! There were over 230 high street entries for this year’s awards; these have been knocked down to just 21 across 7 categories. Bognor Regis is up against Prestatyn in Wales and Amble in Northumberland in the coastal community category! At Butlin’s we are so proud of our three unique resorts positioned in fantastic, breath-taking locations across England.

Skegness is where all the Butlin’s fun started back in 1936, however a lot has changed since then in this traditional coastal town in Lincolnshire. Minehead, our second resort is a beautiful seaside town in the heart of Exmoor, Somerset- a great location to explore the great outdoors! Finally Bognor Regis is a traditional West Sussex seaside town on the doorstep of the South Downs National Park.

Bognor Regis town centre is undergoing a rejuvenation to transform the town and overcome negative perceptions of the past! A partnership set up in Bognor Regis between local governments and organisations has successfully raised £650,000 which will be pumped back into the community to modernise the main shopping area and support local initiatives. Here at Butlin’s we have been offering free customer training to local businesses to do our bit for the rejuvenation of Bognor!

The winner of the annual great British high street award will get a slice of the £80,000 prize pot which includes expert training and tailor-made tips from Google’s training taskforce for 100 shops, bars and restaurants.
